Geography

In geography, children explore the Earth's surface and the people who live on it. We aim to give them a strong understanding of important geographical topics and help them express what they know with clarity. Through activities like using maps, globes, and fieldwork, children develop key skills such as collecting data, interpreting information, and drawing conclusions.

Our curriculum is designed to build on knowledge over time, revisiting topics with more depth as children progress through four textbooks written by teachers in our Trust’s Curriculum Centre with reference to the National Curriculum. This approach helps them gain a solid understanding of both physical and human geography, as well as important locations and features around the world. Lessons are carefully sequenced to show that geography is a dynamic subject, where ideas and perspectives evolve.
