Outings
School trips and outings are a highlight of every child’s time at Pimlico Primary. We carefully plan a range of educational visits that inspire curiosity and bring learning to life in every year group. These experiences are designed to expand pupils’ knowledge, skills, and understanding of the wider world throughout their time with us.
Being in the heart of London, we’re fortunate to have incredible landmarks right on our doorstep, including the Houses of Parliament, Tate Britain, and Westminster Abbey. Just a short journey away by bus or tube are other fascinating sites like the Tower of London, the Natural History Museum, and the Science Museum.
We time our visits to complement classroom learning, making lessons more engaging and memorable. In addition to trips, we also welcome special guests to our school—ranging from experts at Imperial College to faith leaders and renowned poets—who share their experiences and inspire our pupils.
Every child at Pimlico Primary has the opportunity to take part in exciting outdoor experiences, including a three-day residential at Forest School in Year 4 and a five-day adventure at Outward Bound in Year 5. Recent trips have taken pupils to Loch Eil in Scotland and Aberdovey in Wales, where they’ve tackled rock climbing, enjoyed water activities, and even cooked over a campfire!
