Clubs and Extracurricular Activities
At Pimlico Primary, we believe every child should have the chance to join clubs where they can explore new interests in a fun and relaxed setting. Whether they love singing, sports, or picking up a brand-new skill, our clubs provide a fantastic opportunity to try something different or dive deeper into a favorite hobby.
Our club offerings change each term based on pupils' interests, with around twenty different activities available each week. We’re lucky to have a talented teaching staff with a wide range of skills, as well as partnerships with organizations like Greenhouse Sports, Pimlico Musical Foundation, Plunderers Cricket, and Westminster School. This means we can offer a diverse selection of clubs, including choir, art, drama, multi-sports, cricket, chess, geometry, cross-stitch, and crochet. Clubs are tailored to pupils in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
To support working families and pupils receiving pupil premium, we also offer breakfast clubs and after-school homework clubs. During the holidays, we run Easter and summer holiday clubs in collaboration with our sister schools within Future Academies.
For Key Stage 2 pupils, we provide free sports clubs during the spring and summer holidays, as well as some half-terms. These clubs allow older children to develop their skills in different sports, enjoy outdoor activities with friends, and strengthen teamwork and communication skills. We run them alongside our sister primary school, giving pupils a chance to meet others in the area who they might later join in secondary school.
We encourage all children to get involved in our clubs, especially those who may need a little extra support to try something new. They’re a great way to build confidence, discover hidden talents, make friends, and most importantly—have fun!
